The National Monuments Service's description

In pastureland. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 159, no. 88a) as ‘Stone fort (?)’ and described as ‘a segment of [an] earthen and stone wall’ (L c. 9m), ‘sited on a small hill called “Knockaunalaghta”’ Possibly the remains of a cashel. No visible surface trace survives but its faint outline is visible on the OSi Ortho_ITM aerial photograph. (Redington 1916, 53)
