The National Monuments Service's description

Located on the leacht (GA076-020010-) c. 20m to the NE of the church (GA076-020001-) on Cruach na Cara/St Macdara’s Island. An undecorated limestone slab (L 1.57m; Wth 0.49m at N end, 0.44m at S end; T 0.05-0.11m) visible at the NW end of the leacht may be the shaft of a cross. The slab tapers slightly from N to S and also increases in thickness from N to S. Higgins (1987, ii, 409, no. 126) suggested that the slab could have been part of ‘a large cross shaft’ or part of ‘a large pillar-like monument’. Another cross (GA076-020016-) and a cross-slab (GA076-020009-) are associated with this leacht.
