The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the S slopes of Piperstown Hill. A cairn known as Site D. ‘Site D: A small oval cairn of stones. It measures about 2-50 m. by 1-75 m., with its long axis orientated E-W, and is about 20 cm. in maximum height. No evidence of a kerb’ (Rynne and Ó hEailidhe 1965, 64). This is part of an extensive settlement and cemetery of Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date.
