The National Monuments Service's description

The medieval parish church of St. Bride's stood on the corner of the Bride Street and on the S side of Bride Road (Wheeler and Craig 1948, 150). It had a pre-Norman origin being granted to the Canons of Christ Church Cathedral by Askulv Mac Torcaill in c. 1165 (McNeill 1950, 29). It is included in their list of possessions in the Bull of Alexander III dated to c. 1179 which was to be transferred to the newly established collegiate church of St. Patrick (McNeill 1950, 12). It was rebuilt in 1684, demolished in 1898 (Bradley & King 1987, 3; 3 FMD map (1978) F3). Excavations in 1993 carried out in advance of a housing development at 98-99 Bride St. revealed Christian burials (DU018-313----) at the eastern end of a burial ground associated with 12th-13th century deposits. (McMahon 1994, 15). One human burial of 9th-10th century date was discovered in the churchyard (Gowen, 2002, 49; Clarke 2002, 17, A4).
