The National Monuments Service's description

Pre-development testing in 2003 revealed a circular deposit of charcoal and fragments of bone. When excavated the pre-cremated human remains were lying on the base of an upright ceramic vessel of probable Bronze age date (Diam. 0.3m , D 0.11m) (Wiggins, K.2006, 106).
