The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Aerial photographs (CUCAP AYL 27, 28) show circular area defined by cropmark of fosse (est max. diam. c. 45m). Close to centre a much smaller circular feature, similarly defined, is also visible. No visible features at ground level. Possibly a ringfort, with hut site.
