The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on the SE side of a NE-SW valley, overshadowed by the slopes of Mount Gabriel at the NW and by a rocky ridge at the SE. The remains of a D-shaped hut site (2m NW-SE) defined by the jumbled lower course of a curving stone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.3m) with a straight SE side (L 2.1m) which comprises the base of outcropping rock. The stone wall protrudes above the surface of the bog. There is another hut site (CO139-074002-) 25m to the NW.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
