The National Monuments Service's description
In rocky area of outcrop (56m OD), partially covered by vegetation, within house plot, c. 10m to E of small outbuilding. On W side of Leamawaddra River valley; Good view of Mount Kid to NE. A very rough and fractured expanse of rock outcrop (dims. c. 40m N-S; c. 20m E-W) which has deep fractures and fissures, some filled with mosses and lichens; Natural striations and natural pocked solution marks across this rock expanse. The decorated surface has a gentle E-facing aspect and bears three motifs. A long, linear, very eroded groove (long-axis N-S; L 2.90m; Wth 10cm; D 15cm) with four similar sized, roughly parallel linear grooves (max. L 1.80m) intersecting at a right angle. The linear grooves are defined by a series of large solution marks which could potentially represent eroded cupmarks. An unusual, roughly circular feature (dims. 20cm N-S; 19cm E-W; Wth 1-2cm; D 2cm) defined by a deep linear groove is c. 1.4m to E; A large deeply eroded solution mark is abutting to S of latter. A much smoother stone surface with a large, circular motif (dims. 0.55m N-S; 0.50m E-W) defined by a shallow curvilinear groove (Wth 2-3cm; D 1cm) and enclosing a central cupmark (dims. 10cm E-W; 9cm N-S; D 13mm), is located c. 4.4m to SW of the linear grooves.
