The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture with occasional outcropping rock, on a SE-facing slope. The remains of a circular hut site (7.9m E-W; 7.6m N-S) defined by a bank (Wth 0.65m; H 0.5m) of earth and stone, partially obscured by gorse and rushes. The level interior is totally covered by rushes and traces of an E-W line of stones across the N half suggest some form of internal division. The hut site is raised (H 1.1m) at the SE and is cut (D 0.65m) into the upslope at the NW to compensate for the hillslope.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
