The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a rough hill pasture terrace with occasional outcropping rock, on a SE-facing slope. The rush-covered remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3.6m) defined by irregular traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous upright slabs (T 0.7m; H 0.4m) which protrude above the bog surface. The interior has been raised (H 0.3m) at the SE and cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope at the NW to create a level interior. The enclosing element survives best SE-SW. Another hut site (CO114-079004-) is 4m to the SE.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
