The National Monuments Service's description
On the lower W-facing peaty slopes of Miskish Mountain overlooking Coulagh Bay to the NW. A series of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.4m; H 0.6m), defined by both linear and curvilinear lines of stones, protrude intermittently above the bog throughout a roughly oval area (c. 80m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW). Sections of the relict boundaries are obscured by gorse. There is a hut site (CO114-071----) c. 60m to the SW.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
