The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the W-facing stony slopes of Miskish Mountain. The remains of a network of collapsed, relict, stone field boundaries (T max. 0.7m; H max. 0.6m) are visible throughout a roughly rectangular area (c. 400m NE-SW; c. 180m NW-SE). The relict boundaries are mainly curvilinear and frequently protrude from shallow bog cover. Loose stones are generally scattered on the downslope side of the boundaries. A trackway (CO114-084012-) runs along the lower NW side of the field boundaries. There are two enclosures (CO114-084008-, CO114-084010-) and eight hut sites (CO114-084001-, CO114-084002-, CO114-084003-, CO114-084004-, CO114-084005-, CO114-084006-, CO114-084007-, CO114-084009-) within this field boundary network.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
