The National Monuments Service's description
In rough grazing, on a bog-covered terrace on the S-facing slopes of Sugarloaf Mountain. An irregular mound (8m NW-SE; 7m NE-SW) cut by a stream. Heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil are exposed in both banks of the stream. The grass-covered mound is prominent in an area covered with rushes and moor grass. A burnt mound (CO104-027004-) and a fulacht fia (CO104-027006-) lie c. 10m to the SSE and c. 30m to the SW, respectively. A cairn (CO104-027003-) lies c. 60m to the E and there is a stone circle (CO104-027001-) c. 90m to the SSE.
