The National Monuments Service's description
On a rough stony hill pasture terrace, high up on the N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. The remains of a roughly square hut site (3m E-W; 2.7m N-S) defined by a partially collapsed drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 0.6m). The S wall abuts a large boulder which shelters the hut site with a slight overhang. The lower courses of the wall consist of stones that are set at right angles to the line of the wall. There is a possible entrance area along the E side.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
