The National Monuments Service's description

On rough stony pasture, on cutaway bog, on the lower N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. A network of relict stone field boundaries (T 0.6m; H 0.4m) protrudes intermittently above the surface of the bog in an area measuring c. 250m NW-SE x 125m NE-SW. The relict stone walls, which are in a collapsed state, are generally curvilinear with some stones set at right angles to the line of the wall. No set pattern of enclosed fields was apparent at ground level. There is an enclosure (CO102-005006-) at the SE end of the field boundary network.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
