The National Monuments Service's description

On a terrace in rough peaty hill pasture, on the N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. An oval area (int. 13m E-W; 10.5m N-S) is defined by the remains of a stone wall (T 1.1m; H 0.9m) E-NW, most of which is cut into the upsloping bank (D 0.9m). The wall along the SW arc displays traces of an inner and outer row of upright contiguous stones with an infill of rubble. Only low intermittent traces of the stone wall are apparent NW-E, where stones have slipped down along the external bank face, which is raised (H 1m) by a combination of earth and stone to compensate for the hillslope. The interior, mainly in pasture, slopes gently down to the N. This enclosure is at the SE end of a network of field boundaries (CO102-005018-).

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
