The National Monuments Service's description
In an area of rough hill grazing on bog, on a SW-facing slope. A roughly circular area (diam. 12m) defined by the remains of a stone wall was noted at this location in 1988 (SMR file). A possible hut site (CO090-013001-) was noted within the enclosure and field boundaries (CO090-014----) were noted extending from it. This entire area has been deep-ploughed in recent times and several stones are scattered on the disturbed uneven surface at the location. There are no visible remains of the enclosure at ground level.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
