The National Monuments Service's description
A large multiperiod complex, at mouth of narrow inlet on E shore of Ballynacorra Estuary, looks S to second maltings (CO076-080---). Quays immediately to S and W. According to old documents on file within, passed by John Lapp to John Anderson in 1791; Bennetts owned it since early 20th century but recently purchased by Guinness and Co. Ltd. Indicated as 'Store' on 1842 OS 6-inch map; 'Malthouse' on 1933 OS 6-inch map. Consists of late 18th-century, long, 5-storey gable-ended store (long axis E-W) with office addition at E end of S elevation. Hoist with canopy on S elevation.
Late 19th-century addition attached to N, of similar dimensions; according to local information, 'steep' housed at W end of both. Two late 19th-century kilns (long axis N-S) attached to N with oil-fired furnaces according to local information. Double gable-ended 5-storey additions to E of Kiln with cement quoins; brick and cement surrounds to opes; date stone of '1902' on E elevation.
Gable ended 5-storey addition to W of kiln. Yard to N with other ancillary buildings along N wall. Still in use.
