The National Monuments Service's description

Two stones marked on 1842 OS 6-inch map standing c. 20m inside E perimeter of rectangular enclosure (14264). Removed; no visible surface trace. Noted in OS Field Book as 'One...about 4ft. high and 6in. in girth. The other...about 3ft. high and 41/2ft. in girth' (Grove White 1905-25, vol. 3, 333).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
