The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on W-facing slope. Trapezoidal enclosure (70m N-S; 70m E-W) incorporated into field boundaries; defined by earthen bank except for SE corner (shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map) which has been levelled. Line of infilled fosse visible as area of rough ground outside E bank (int. H 2m; ext. H 1.3m); fosse (D 0.5m) survives at NW corner and for c. 5 to 6m outside W bank (int. H 0.5m; ext. H 2.2m). Laneway skirts bank on N, and along northern part of W, side. Break in bank near S end of E side (Wth c. 3m) and at SW corner. Interior ploughed; slopes down to W; pair of standing stones (9872) in E half. Locally known as "the fort field". Small circular enclosure (13604) abuts SE corner of site.
