The National Monuments Service's description
This standing stone (0.35m x 0.35m; H c. 2.3m) is square in plan and tapers towards the top. Packing-stones are visible around the base of the stone. The corners are smooth as a result of it being rubbed against by cattle. This standing stone was damaged in 2003 during development work in the area. The stone has since been entirely removed from its socket and is presently undergoing repair.
The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
