The National Monuments Service's description

On S side of road. A 2-storey residential house, rectangular in plan (long axis E-W). Road front (N) of 3 bays, with central rectangular door ope and plate-glass sash windows; ground-floor windows have limestone sills. Hipped roof with central brick chimney stack. Single-storey gabled addition against E elevation; lean-to addition to rear. Indicated on 1842 OS 6-inch map and named 'Methodist Chapel'; indicated but not named on 1905 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps. Lewis (1837, vol. 2, 480) refers to it as 'a small meeting-house for Wesleyan Methodists'.
