The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on SE side of Knockaun with land falling away from site to E and S. Circular area (37.5m N-S; 36.5m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.75m) NW->SSE; elsewhere bank modified and incorporated into field fence system with stone walling added in parts and shallow internal fosse at base. Break in bank to N (Wth 2m) and NNW (Wth 0.7m). Interior surface uneven; slopes down to S.
