This graveyard was referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 4 North Cork' (2000, 569) under the entry (no. 14464) for a possible church (CO031-049003-). The refererence to the graveyard in the entry reads: 'Bowman (1934, 231) recorded church site and burial ground (CO031-049002-) on J. Morrissey's land; where 'about one-third of the surrounding fence still stands. The site measures 50 yards by 35, and is in the centre of a field. Grass-covered mounds on the north side indicate the site of church. Two white thorn trees grow on the church-site.' No visible surface trace.' Notes in the SMR database for this record are as follows: 'In tillage, on gentle SW-facing slope. Arc (C 35m), formed by hachured bank SSE-NNW depicted on 1938 OS 6-inch map; in N extension to field, formed by curving field boundary W-SE, but not concentric with site. Levelled; barely perceptible undulations visible in field. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 231) as church site and burial ground on J. Morrissey's land; where 'about one-third of the surrounding fence still stands. The site measures 50 yards by 35, and is in the centre of a field. Grass-covered mounds on the north side indicate the site of church. Two white thorn trees grow on the church-site.'
