The National Monuments Service's description

In level pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure on 1842, 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps; incorporated into field fence system SW->NE on 1904 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. Circular area (35.5m E-W; 35.5m N-S) defined by low rise N->SW; earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.2m) elsewhere, acting as field boundary. Levelled bank also visible as differential growth pattern with possible entrance to NNE; break in low rise to E may indicate second gap. Circular enclosure visible as cropmark of bank in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W402).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
