The National Monuments Service's description

Within the historic town (CO027-042----) of Glanworth, to the SW of 'Rock Abbey' (CO027-040----). Five undated pits were excavated in advance of a housing development in Boherash townland in 2004. Two of the pits were only partially excavated. The pits were situated in trench 3 and were mainly circular in plan. The pits ranged in diameter from 0.18 to 1.84m and in depth from 0.12 to 0.47m. None of the five pits produced dating evidence. (Cleary 2006a; 2007, 87-126)

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
