The National Monuments Service's description
Within the historic town (CO027-042----) of Glanworth, to the SW of 'Rock Abbey' (CO027-040----). Excavation in advance of a housing development in Boherash townland in 2004 revealed the remains of a possible circular hut site (diam. c. 6m) which was defined by five stake-holes that probably represented the W arc of a post-built structure. The E portion of the possible hut site extended beyond the limit of the excavation which was confined to the footprint of the proposed houses. Though a cluster of stake-holes recorded outside the perimeter along the NW arc may be unrelated to the structure, it is also possible that they represent some external contemporary feature. A late 13th-century pit and another undated pit were recorded within the possible hut site. Another excavated hut site (CO027-200----), dating to the medieval period, is c. 25m to the NW. According to the excavator (Cleary 2007, 92), given the medieval date for the other hut site (CO027-200----), it is possible that the late 13th-century pit (F133) and this possible hut site were contemporary. (Cleary 2006; Cleary 2007)
