The National Monuments Service's description
In flat, slightly waterlogged, reclaimed pasture. Discovered during construction of Bruff-Mallow gas pipeline (Gowen 1988). Burnt material briefly exposed extending in from left-hand side of corridor during removal of topsoil. Its maximum dimensions measured 6m x 4m (pers. comm. M. Gowen).
