The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, atop hillock, on N-facing slope. Circular area (28m E-W; 27m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 2.08m; ext. H 1.25m) with external fosse (D 1.55m). Fosse deepest NE-> SSW; infilled to SSW; progressively shallower SSW->NW. Causewayed entrance (Wth 2.6m) to WNW. Interior raised; slopes gently down to WNW. Bank and fosse heavily overgrown; interior grass-covered. One of two ringforts (CO025-052---) referred to by Grove White (1905-25, vol. 4, 155) as 'two interesting raths' to W of Pencil Hill House (now Beechfield House), where according to 'Mr. R.H. Spratt, of Pencil Hill...a broken bow, among other relics, was discovered' while excavating one of the forts.
