The National Monuments Service's description

In a meadow, on a NE-facing slope. A spread of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil was noted for c. 13m in a N-S direction along the line of a levelled field boundary, where the meadow grass is patchy. Due to the grass cover, it was not possible to establish the shape of the spread, but it was visible for c. 1-2m on either side of the line of the levelled boundary.

The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
