The National Monuments Service's description

In improved, gently undulating pasture, on a gentle SE-facing slope. There is a mature isolated tree within the same field, further to the NW. A field boundary with hedgerow is c. 14m to the SW. Limited views of surrounding countryside due to tree-lined field boundaries. Not depicted or named on any OS historic mapping. There is no visible surface trace of a megalithic tomb at this location. According to the Discovery Programme (2006), a number of megalithic structures are described by Westropp (1902-04, 111-14), however not all of these could be matched with the respective SMR numbers. De Valera and Ó Nualláin (1961, 92, no. 3) describe this as the site of a probable wedge tomb. The site of another wedge tomb (CL035-006----) is c. 55m to the N.
