The National Monuments Service's description
At the NE edge of an area of damp rough grazing (labelled ‘Liable to Floods’ on OS historic mapping), with a nearby stream flowing W and then SW. Listed as ‘Fulachta fiadh’ in the RMP (1996), in reference to this and another nearby fulacht fia (CL010-133----) to the NNE, on the basis of a map annotation by Tom Coffey (1994, SMR file). This fulacht fia comprises an irregular-shaped, moss- and grass-covered hummock (8m N-S; 6m E-W; max. H 0.6-0.8m at S-W) which blends into slightly higher ground to the E.
