The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the NW slope of a ridge and within a large field system (CL010-064001-). Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). Named ‘Sheepfolds’ on the OS 25-inch map. On inspection in 1999 this was found to be an enclosure of apparently modern construction defined by a wall of loose leaning stones, bisected by a low wall.
