The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a raised rocky plateau sloping slightly to W. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and as ‘Barrow’ in the RMP (1996). Indicated as ‘Barrow’ in 1994 on an annotated map (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file). On inspection in 1999 this was found to be a modern roughly circular enclosure (18m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by a drystone wall built of leaning slabs.
