The National Monuments Service's description

On a SE-facing slope in hazel wood and pasture, with wide views NE-E-SE. Indicated on the first edition (1842) and hachured on the later, Cassini edition (1920) of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This well-preserved, subcircular ring-barrow (28.5m E-W; est. 23m N-S) is defined by a flat-topped central mound (av. H 1m; dims. at base 12m N-S; 11.5m E-W; dims. at top 9m E-W; 6m N-S) surrounded by a bank (Wth 5-7m; av. int. H 1.2m, max. H 1.6m; ext. H 0.1-1.7m) with a generally flat-bottomed intervening fosse (Wth 2-3m). A low NW-SE running field wall (townland boundary) is built against the W side of the mound.
