The National Monuments Service's description
In trees at the base of a rock face (H 2-3m) which rises to the NW. A stream flows SE immediately to the WSW, on the other side of a later field wall. Listed as ‘Fulachta fiadh’ in the RMP (1996). This fulacht fia comprises a rectangular area (13m E-W; 8m N-S) of burnt stone and ash, which is highest (1.4-1.6m) at W but lower (0.4-0.8m) elsewhere. Rubble, tree roots and branches were dumped on the W end. The reported presence of a second fulacht fia (CL010-036003-) in the immediate vicinity could not be verified as none was visible at ground level during an inspection in 1999. The remains of a tower house (CL010-036001-) lie c. 30m to the E.
