The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight rise in undulating rough pasture and limestone outcrop, with land rising to the S. Within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (26m N-S; 23.2m E-W) is defined by the remains of a stone wall (est. Wth 1-1.5m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.2) with exterior stone spill. The outer wall-face can be traced from N to NE and from S to SW. Several grass-covered field walls extend across the cashel interior; others abut the cashel exterior.
