The National Monuments Service's description

On a high point on a plateau in rough pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-084001-). This subcircular hut site (int. dims. 4.4m NE-SW; 3.3m NW-SE) is defined by a grass-covered stone wall (Wth 0.6-0.8m) and associated spill. The hut site is partly encircled (15-22m away) between NW and E by a later drystone wall, with stones laid with their long axis across the wall. At its W end is a small enclosure (int. dims. 6.1m E-W; 4.2m N-S; ext. dims. 8m E-W; 5m N-S) defined by walls of the same type. As part of an investigation of the monuments in the immediate vicinity, Grant (1995; see also Grant 2004; 2006) referred to this drystone wall and enclosure as ‘Enclosure H’. A cairn (CL009-084010-) lies c. 15.5m to the SSE and there is a standing stone (CL009-084032-) c. 34m to the SW.
