The National Monuments Service's description
On a W-facing slope in undulating rough pasture within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). Hachured on the OS 25-inch plan (1897) and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This subcircular enclosure (18m N–S; 14.5m E–W) is defined by a slightly raised area with a number of large boulders on its perimeter; a slight scarp is visible beneath the boulders. The boulders (L c. 1m; Wth 0.5m; H c. 0.5m) appear to be aligned with their long axes along the circumference of the enclosure. They do not touch end to end and there are frequent large gaps between them. A large well-made drystone wall (Wth c. 1m; H 1.6m) runs NNW–SSE through the centre of the interior. A castle (CL016-020003-) lies c. 190m to the SW and there is a cashel (CL009-059018-) c. 190m to the E.
