The National Monuments Service's description

On a low rise in undulating pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). This subcircular cashel (27.4m E-W; 24.2m N-S) is defined from NE to NW by the intermittent remains of a stone wall-face and spill (Wth 6-7m; int. H 0.4-0.8m; ext. H 0.7-1.3m). At the E there is a scarp (H 0.6m) from the interior down to the surviving outer wall-face. From NW to NE the edge of the cashel (L 16m) has been truncated by clearance activity in the adjacent field, creating a scarp (H 0.5m; Wth 3m). A drystone field boundary extends E-W along the top of this scarp. The cashel entrance (Wth 1.2m) is at the SE. It is filled with stone but visible within this rubble are the straight edges of an entrance passage (L 3.2m and 2.8m respectively) which extends into the cashel interior.
