The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle SE-facing slope in pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL005-160001-), c. 20m to the NW of a ravine. Noted on OSi aerial imagery dated 2000. This poorly preserved roughly D-shaped cashel (ext. dims. 24.3m N–S; 23.8m E–W), with the straight side at N (L c. 21m), is defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3–5m; max. int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.4–1m); the outer edge stones are traceable along the S, W and N sides. The S side (Wth c. 1.5m) is narrower than the others. The original wall width (2.1m) could be determined at the N end of the W side. A drystone wall overlies the perimeter of the N side and traces of another old drystone wall, running N-S, overlie the E side. Grykes are visible outside the cashel, running parallel to the W and N walls. Enclosures lie c. 28m to the SSW (CL009-230----), c. 96m to the S (CL009-231----) and c. 146m to the NNE (CL009-053009-). A cashel (CL009-053003-) lies c. 187m to the NW.
