The National Monuments Service's description

At the W edge of a karst plateau in rough pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL005-160001-). There is a steep ravine c. 45m to the W. Hachured on the OS 25-inch plan (1897) and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). This circular cashel (ext. diam. 25.6m N–S) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth at W 1.6m). The outer wall-face is well preserved and is visible almost all the way around; it is best preserved from NW to NNE and at NE (H 0.8-1.6m). Some spill (Wth 1.5–2m; H 0.6m) is visible against it. Apart from a section at W, little of the inner wall-face survives. A more substantial stone spread (Wth 2–3m; H. 0.2–0.4m) extends off it. A gap (Wth 2m) at SE may be modern as it is not stone lined. There are no internal features, other than a NNE-SSW running gryke (L 6m; Wth 1m; max. D 0.6m) which is located just NW of the centre. It is filled with grass-covered loose stones. Field walls extend off the cashel at NNW and N and another field wall skirts around it from E to S. Other cashels lie c. 98m to the NNE (CL009-053007-) and c. 187m to the SE (CL009-053018-). An enclosure (CL053009-) lies c. 155m to the ESE.
