The National Monuments Service's description
In a hollow in undulating pastureland and outcropping limestone pavement, within a large multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Listed as 'Potential site - aerial photo' in the RMP (1996). This subcircular cashel (int. dims. 23.1m E-W; 22.2m N-S) is defined by a double-faced stone wall (Wth 1.5-2.1m; int. H 0.3-0.6m; ext. H 0.22-0.45m), which overlies and makes use of natural terraces in the limestone bedrock from NW-N and from SE-SW. The wall-faces survive to two/three courses in height, although at W it is obscured by rubble and overgrowth. Several animal gaps cut through the wall. Given that it is set within a natural hollow, the concave interior is 1.5m lower than the outer ground level. Another cashel (CL008-016002-) lies c. 59m to the W.
