The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in undulating pastureland and outcropping limestone pavement, within a large multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Hachured on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). This subcircular cashel (26.7m N-S; 25m E-W) is defined by a collapsed drystone wall (Wth 3.15-6m; int. H 0.25-0.55m; ext. H 1.3-1.7m); several courses of the outer wall-face are visible at S. A number of cattle gaps cut through the wall. No visible trace of the possible souterrain (CL008-016007-) noted by Westropp (1905, 355) was noted within the interior, where several piles of field-clearance rubble rest against the wall and a further one located in the centre. There is another cashel (CL008-016003-) c. 59m to the E, and an enclosure (CL008-013003-) c. 114m to the WSW.
