The National Monuments Service's description
Abutting a rock face in one of many natural hollows on top of Slievecarran and within a field system (CL006-042001-) extending all over the plateau. A subrectangular hut site (c. 8m E-W; c. 4m N-S) noted by Ros Ó Maoldúin. Several of the hollows in this area have evidence of occupation including an enclosure (CL006-191----) c. 70m to the SSW.
