The National Monuments Service's description
On a moderately steep W-facing slope surrounded by rough outcropping rock and rough grazing and situated within the field system (CL002-033001-) on the E side of the valley between Gleninagh ‘Mountain’ and Cappanawalla Hill. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). Indicated with a solid line on the 1842 and 1915 eds. OS 6-inch maps. The poorly preserved remains of a circular enclosure (int. diam. 17m) defined by a collapsed stone spread (av. Wth 3.5m) with occasional cashel-like facing stones visible on the exterior at SW. A gap at NE (Wth 3.6m) may be an enlarged original entrance. It is overlain by a later field wall from NW–NE. Two small enclosures lie 20m and 40m N respectively. At least another three cashels occur within this field system, a largely collapsed cashel (CL002-033002-) c. 140m NW, a large cashel ‘Caherfeenagh’ (CL002-033004-) c. 140m SE and a cliff-edge fort ‘Lismacsheedy’ (CL005-018002-) c. 440m SE.
