The National Monuments Service's description

On a moderately steep W-facing slope surrounded by rough outcropping rock and rough grazing and situated within a field system (CL002-033001-) on the E side of the valley between Gleninagh ‘Mountain’ and Cappanawalla Hill. Indicated with a solid line on the 1842 and 1915 eds. OS 6-inch maps. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). An oval area (int. diam. 25m N–S; 22m E–W) defined by a tumbled and partially grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3–5m; H 0.6m) upon which a later field wall is built turning the interior into a small paddock. At least another three cashels occur within this field system, a now denuded cashel (CL002-033003-) c. 140m SE, a large cashel ‘Caherfeenagh’ (CL002-033004-) c. 370m SE and a cliff-edge fort ‘Lismacsheedy’ (CL005-018002-) c. 590m SE.
