L'usine sucrière de Langevin est construite entre 1852 et 1854 par Gabriel Le Coat de Kervéguen, sur les ruines de l'usine de l'Amitié, détruite par un cyclone en 1847. Elle est transformée en féculerie de manioc vers 1894, puis sert de distillerie entre les deux guerres.

The Langevin sugar factory was built between 1852 and 1854 by Gabriel Le Coat de Kervéguen, on the ruins of the Amitié factory, destroyed by a cyclone in 1847. It was transformed into a cassava starch factory around 1894, then served as a distillery between the two wars.
