Cet édifice, caractéristique des constructions de style Art Déco du deuxième quart du 20e siècle, fait partie de l'ensemble urbain administratif de Lamentin. De plan rectangulaire, le bâtiment déploie un vocabulaire architectural en relation avec celui du groupe scolaire situé à proximité et réalisé par le même architecte, Ali Tur, mais en inversant les volumes : la partie centrale est en retrait par rapport aux côtés, lesquels forment des avant-corps. La toiture est plate avec une façade au rythme ternaire. On remarque le soin apporté aux claustras encadrant la porte d'entrée, très graphiques et souvent utilisés par l'architecte. Il convient également de souligner la grande attention prêtée à la conception et à la décoration de l'intérieur du bâtiment (carreaux de grès cérame, rampe à claustras moulée en béton).

History
This building, characteristic of Art Déco style constructions of the second quarter of the 20th century, is part of the administrative urban ensemble of Lamentin.
