Eglise construite entre 1930 et 1933, en remplacement d'une chapelle de secours. La Courneuve est alors une banlieue pauvre du diocèse de Paris, dont la population est en augmentation, et qui est en manque d'églises et plus généralement d'équipements collectifs. Dès 1923 le diocèse entend s'implanter dans la commune, et c'est grâce à l'action de l'abbé Joseph Le Quellec, et au soutien financier du vicomte et de la vicomtesse de Gourcuff, qu'un ensemble paroissial peut être édifié à partir de 1928. Un patronage est d'abord érigé, par l'architecte Michel Bridet et l'ingénieur Pierre Robert, dédié dans un premier temps à Saint-Thérèse-des-Quatre-Routes. Les mêmes architectes conçoivent l'église, finalement dédiée à saint Yves (patron de la Bretagne, région d'origine de l'abbé, et avocat des pauvres), et un presbytère, construits entre 1930 et 1933, et donnant lieu à l'érection d'une nouvelle paroisse. L'église comprend un soubassement en meulière, une structure et une charpente en béton armé, un remplissage et des façades en briques, ainsi qu'une couverture de tuiles. Le plan de l'église est en croix latine, et sa façade principale est surmontée d'un haut clocher servant de repère près d'un important carrefour. L'intérieur présente une grande unité et un espace très ouvert, sans support intermédiaire. Le décor est l'œuvre de Roger Bâteau et Eugène Pérez (vitraux), Georges Serraz, Yvonne Parvillée et Gustave Dermigny (sculptures).

Church built between 1930 and 1933, in replacement of a relief chapel. La Courneuve was then a poor suburb of the Paris diocese, whose population was increasing, and which was lacking in churches and more generally in collective facilities.
